Abstract

Arcobadara is a toponym of Dacian origin, most likely a corrupt one, attested literary to Ptolemy and epigraphically in the inscription discovered near the Roman camp from Ilișua. This paper relates the aspects that indicate the identification of the Dacian settlement from Ciceu-Corabia (Ciceu-Mihăiești Commune, Bistrița-Năsăud County) with the Dacian Arcoba(da)ra. Those refers to the location, size and chronology of this settlement, as well as to the archaeological finds.
