Abstract

There isn’t an actual standardized method of restoring constructions according to the data obtained from the archaeological research. The author suggests a method that is based on two stages: 1. Obtaining the information 2. The geometrical determination of the restoration The architecture is influenced by three dual environments: the geo-climatic environment, the techno-economic environment and the socio-cultural one. Six data sheets are needed in the first stage: geographic, climatic, technical, economic, social, cultural and addenda with the existing structured information. Qualifed personnel – such as an architect – can restore a geometrically determined construction based on these sheets, drawing up the following plans at a scale of 1:100, 1:50, according to the building’s size as follows: foundation plan, groundfloor plan, doors plan, roof plan, distinguishing areas – at least two, facades – at least four and scaled axonometric. It is required that the refurbished building undergo a structural behavior analysis, made by a construction engineer, in order to verify the durability and faultlessness of the restoration. The restoration must have the report of the archaeologist who provided the main data.
